What comes with a Wrenwood wedding

Hour by hour

Every wedding writes its own schedule. This is the shape most of them settle into.

nine in the morning

The inn opens and the suite fills with garment bags, coffee, and the people you got ready with your whole life.

early afternoon

Vendors roll in the back way. The hall takes its shape, flowers on tables, the band checking sound, while upstairs stays calm.

an hour before

First look in the garden if you want one, quiet if you don’t. Guests find the lawn and the lemonade.

golden hour

The ceremony, under the oaks or in the hall. Then the light does the thing it does here, and your photographer earns their dinner.

after dark

Dinner, toasts, and dancing under the string lights. The lanterns come on in the garden for whoever needs air.

midnight

Last dance, sparkler line if you like, and a short walk upstairs instead of a long drive home.

Between the weddings

The night before, kept easy. Long tables in the hall or lanterns in the garden.

Morning light, the good china energy, and the garden doing most of the decorating.

Family gatherings and milestone birthdays for the people worth renting a hall for.

No event at all. The inn, the garden, and absolutely nothing on the calendar.
